Havelock Island Beach Resort

My agent, Experience Andaman, booked two rooms for us. The reception staff treated us as if we were staying for free and made it very clear that they would not offer better rooms because we had booked through an agent. The rooms were dirty, and the bathrooms were broken and well below basic standards. Breakfast was a complete mess, with very poor quality and taste. it's not value for money. beach side Atmosphere was nice, but their people were roaming and asking water activity on discounted rate if booked from them without informing their office. Location was not good.

This hotel is only 1 km from the ferry port, and I chose it because it offered attractive deals for my diving courses. The rooms are generally well maintained, although the minibar needs replacing. However, there is no safe in the room. The hot water in the shower has to be turned on via a main switch at the entrance to the bathroom, but no one told me this beforehand…There is a lack of general information, for example that cleaning service has to be requested by leaving the key at reception in the morning. A laundry service is available through an external provider, which is fast and inexpensive. In the restaurant area, more attention should be paid to cleanliness, but the service and meals are decent. In general, the staff are very friendly and willing to help with any request. The Wi-Fi is excellent in the common areas but poor in the rooms. However, I have a very positive review for the diving centre: an excellent, competent and knowledgeable team, but also fun and willing to chat even after the dives. I learned a lot and had a great time, for which I am grateful. Great job, guys!

If you anticipate an actual 5-star experience at Havelock Island Beach Resort, brace yourself for disappointment. This venue is, at best, a 3-star property plagued by significant issues that tarnish its claimed luxury. The premier beachfront Ocean Suites are encircled by poorly kept grounds, in worse condition than the pavement outside. The area emits a sewage odour, ineffectively masked by mothballs (which are scattered throughout the rooms). Loud music blasts from 7–11 pm every day, rendering relaxation impossible. The beachfront attracts stray dogs, and litter is left unattended around the suites. Rooms do not meet any luxury criteria. Bathrooms look like they belong to a 2-star establishment: lacking bathtubs, shower cubicles, and space for toiletries. Hot water lasts only 2–3 minutes, necessitating a 15-minute wait between uses. The Nemo Bar features exposed wiring, creating safety hazards, and stray dogs wander freely in the dining area during lunch and dinner. Block 7 resembles a hostel more than a hotel, with garbage at the entrance, mattresses discarded on landings, and no lighting on the stairs. Luckily, we have lights on our phones. All rooms, including the so-called Presidential Suite, are secured with padlocks, not electronic cards, and the doors are not fitted with locks.

Rates are of 5Star resort but lacking in all respects. Had booked a sea facing cottage for a relaxing quiet stay but had to face the brunt of 6.30pm to 11.30 pm live DJ blaring music every day. Complaints to Hitel staff were of no use as it was Hotel Policy. Could not stay in the room for these 5 noisy hours.

Nothing good except the location. Rooms are unhygienic and small. Sizes of rooms are also given wrong. Room service is very poor. By any standard it is not a 5 star property. Breakfast layout is also very simple and seems cost cutting measure.

Owner s of the resort are cheating people saying it is a 5star and rates are according to 5star…they fraud us by showing fancy photos but in reality they are small,dirty ,damp and stinky .. bathroom s are like public bathrooms May be worst …I have uploaded all photos …breakfast was below 3star standard may be motel type … not so clean , dinning area is worst … most of the reviews are fudged one worst review rest of the they flood them with good reviews written by their own people… They are cheating people Cheaters Charging us for 5star facilities Consumer case needs to be put on them I call them fraudster Ruined our stay in havelock
